Textures Tag



This is an old trick, but one of my favs

You Need:

PSP


1. Open a new image 300 X 300 (or size of your desire)

2. Choose a Background color and flood fill your image

3. Effects - Texture Effects - Fine Leather
use these settings



4. Add a new layer

5. Selections - Select All

6. Selections - Modify - Contract by 50

7. Flood Fill with your Foreground color
(try to have it lighter or darker than your background color)

8. Layers - Duplicate 3 times

9. On your Layers Palettes activate your layer 2

10. Effects - Texture Effects - Blinds
use these settings
Width- 5. Opacity- 5. color- Black. Horizontal- CHECKED. Light from left/top- CHECKED.

11. Use these same settings again on layer Copy (2) of Raster 2

12. Repeat step 10 (Horizontal UNCHECKED) on layer copy of Raster 2 and Copy (3) of Raster 2

13. Activate layer Copy of Raster 2

14. Image - Rotate - Free Rotate
use these settings:



15. Activate layer Copy (2) of Raster 2

16. Repeat step 14 and change to 45 Degrees

17. Activate layer Copy (3) of Raster 2

18. Repeat steo 14 and change to 65 Degreees

19. Selections - Select None

20. Layers - Merege - Merge Visible

21. Select your Text Tool and type in what you want to write. DON'T DESELECT!

22. Effects - Texture Efects - Rough Leather
use these settings:



23. Selections - Select None

24. Layers - Merge - Merge All (Flatten)

25. Image - Add Border
Size= 1. Color= (use same color as your text)

26. Image - Add Border
Size= 10. Color= (use a color that is NOT in your image)

27. Use your Magic Wand and select your big border

28. Effects - Reflection Effects - Kaleidoscope
use these settings: or change the settings to get your desired effect.



29. Effects- 3D Effects - Inner Bevel
use these settings:



30. Selections - Select None

31. Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen (optional)

PHEW!!! Finally done LOL.
I hope you had fun and liked the tut.


NOTE: You can also create IM Letters with these tags, simply open a new image 1024 X height of your image.
Do the same thing for the background as you did for your tag.
Copy your tage and paste it as a new layer.
Use your Move Tool and move your tag to your desired position.
Layers - Merge - Merge All (Flatten).
